CC’s double Duke pays off

Second gig at Wokingham pub highlights new band’s progress

There aren’t too many bands playing in such a specific style (and at such a specific volume) that can pull off two gigs at the same pub in a week, but that’s exactly what Custard Cream achieved last Saturday (June 8th), when the band played its second gig at the Duke’s Head in Wokingham.

Local news for new locals

Custard Cream’s emergency gig is a blast for meet-up group

The emergency gig organised at the last moment at the Duke’s Head in Wokingham proved to be a massive success, with a host of unsuspecting ‘new regulars’ choosing the pub for its latest gathering.

Extra gig added to band’s early schedule

Custard Cream will be playing at the Duke’s Head in Wokingham on Saturday June 1st from 8:30pm, it has been announced. Although it is rather short notice, the band is worried that people might mix up the dates because the Duke’s Head is where Custard Cream will be playing the following Saturday as well – a gig that has been booked in for over a month now…

May 11th will see band at Wokingham’s Hope & Anchor

Mechkov’s new band, Custard Cream, will be playing its first gig at the Hope & Anchor pub in Wokingham on Saturday May 11th.

The band bases its repertoire on the music of Cream, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Gary Moore and other classic rock power trios (and quartets!), with the emphasis on, as Mechkov puts it, ‘going off on one’.
