Custard Cream to play charity benefit for fallen marine
Custard Cream will be playing the Live at the Lake music festival this Saturday (September 28th at 2pm). The event is a ten-hour music festival in benefit of the Adam Brown memorial.

Brown was a Royal Marine – as was Custard Cream's lead guitarist, Nige Owst, and so the event has considerable poignancy for the band.
Royal Marine Commando Adam Brown was born in Yateley, Hampshire in 1985. In August 2010, at just 25 years old, he was killed serving in Afghanistan.

Commando Brown and his wife, Amy, always dreamed of owning a beach hut at Mudeford in Devon. The couple  used to retreat there when Adam was off duty and he proposed to Amy there. Family and colleagues began raising funds in January 2011 and earlier this year a beach hut was bought for the use of Marines to relax and reflect.

The fundraising goes on, however, as running costs are quite high for these little, beachside properties, with council tax alone being £3,200.
