Custard Cream recharges batteries and starts filling up the diary

After a full-on August, which saw the UK’s premier blues rock band playing some 14 gigs, Custard Cream had a couple of weeks to recharge its batteries before heading out on another long series of gigs in the build up to Christmas and the New Year.

The brief hiatus was due mainly to the calendar being scored through due to holiday commitments of previous band members. With those members not around any more, it was a little frustrating having built up such a good momentum from the band’s first gig in May right through to the near-chaotic Bank Holiday weekend, which saw the CCs squeezing in four gigs in four days.

With the new season underway, however, Custard Cream kicked off with a gig at its favourite pub haunt, the Duke’s Head in Wokingham on September 21st, where the lads played their third gig. It went down so well that the landlord has asked them back to do it all again in October.

Forthcoming gigs include a hectic weekend, starting with the band playing a charity gig at the Live at the Lake benefit concert – with Custard Cream appearing between 2 and 3pm on September 28th.

Later the same day, the band will be at The Dashwood Arms, near West Wycombe, kicking off at 9pm and then on Sunday 29th, the band will reconvene at The Old Crown in Hayes from 5pm.

The band already has dates piling up for 2014, although there are still a few windows in October, November and December, should you need a hard hitting blues rock combo for your pub, club or party.
