Mechkov has recorded with various bands over the years, although, unfortunately, many of those recordings are now lost.

This section will build up into a collection of albums dating back to 1993 and forward into the future, forming a showcase of the work of Mechkov and some of his collaborators.

Auralorama is the name Mechkov gives to his experiments with extended digital delay. Whether ‘pure’ (that is, a single improvised ‘take’ with no other overdubs) or ‘applied) with extra solo guitars, drums, bass and so on added after the fact), the result of these recordings is sometimes uplifting and harmonious, other times dissonant and disturbing. Whichever they turn out to be, this is a fundamental craft that disciplines the player and creates new musics that often the player had not considered before it happened.

With each note coming straight back at the player, whether after just a few seconds or (in the case of the Boss DD-20 Gigadelay) 23 seconds, the player is forced to live with, use and  adapt the idea (or mistake) of a moment ago.

In its pure form, this is an almost amorphous collection of sounds, when applied it is the meeting of a ‘timed rhythm’ with a counted one, which can create some very interesting counterpoints and unexpected hooks.
